Credit Cards General

What is the difference between a Platinum or Gold card and a standard credit card?

Credit cards can be either premium (Gold, Platinum, Titanium, for instance) or standard. Premium cards offer higher credit limits and usually have extra features, for example, product warranties, travel insurance, or emergency services. Regular cards, which do not require a security deposit, generally have fewer features. Most regular cards have higher credit limits than secured cards but lower credit limits than premium cards.

Many factors go into deciding what is the best credit card for you and your financial situation. There are many kinds of credit cards for special circumstances, such as student credit cards, rewards credit cards, “bad credit” credit cards, business credit cards and balance transfer credit cards.
